As the Vermont Conference, we are a people of covenant. Together, our churches join a national movement to support five core areas of ministry:
We celebrate the collective impact of every gift—from the smallest church offering to our largest congregational offerings
—this allows us to stand together for justice, mercy, and the continued vitality of the United Church of Christ.
OCWM Basic Support: The foundation of our covenant. Your gift powers national justice work, global missions, and the vital resources that connect every UCC church.
One Great Hour of Sharing: Our reach into the world. This fund provides clean water, emergency relief, and sustainable development to our global neighbors in need.
Strengthen the Church: Planting the future. We fund new church starts, youth leadership, and innovative "God is still speaking" ministries across the nation.
Neighbors In Need: Standing for justice. Your gift supports American Indian Ministries and critical social justice projects that advocate for the marginalized.
Christmas Fund: Honoring a lifetime of service. We provide emergency financial aid and pension supplements for retired and active clergy in financial crisis.
"Is your church on track for a certificate? Giving to these five funds secures your congregation's status as a 5-for-5 church at our next Annual Meeting!"
To ensure your congregation receives credit toward its 5-for-5 status for our Annual Meeting recognition, please:
Ministry in Vermont is a team effort. Whether you’re supporting a pastor through the Clergy Lifeline Fund, fueling innovation via the Hope Fund, or responding to local emergencies, your gift makes a tangible difference.
100% of your donation stays in the Green Mountain State, empowering our Conference staff and local leaders to sustain our mission every day. Thank you for partnering with us.
Friends of the VT Conference: The heartbeat of our connection. We ensure no Vermont congregation navigates ministry alone by powering transitions and church health.
The Hope Fund: Where innovation meets faith. This "seed money" sparks creative projects, justice lectures, and outreach right here in the Green Mountain State.
Ministry 21: Equipping the 21st-century leader. We fund the training and resources needed for both lay and clergy leaders to thrive in a changing world.
Disaster Recovery Fund: 100% local response. When disaster strikes Vermont, we act swiftly to provide immediate on-the-ground support for our neighbors.
Clergy Lifeline Fund: Caring for those who care for you. We provide emergency aid, health support, and career assessments for our local pastors.
