A Powerful Day of Witness and Mourning.

Over 100 people, 35 faith leaders, and 50 vehicles gathered to hold a solemn funeral service for the 98 people who have died in ICE custody since January 2025. They delivered a sealed pine coffin filled with named memorial stones to ICE's doorstep in Williston.

FROM EXODUS TO EXILE: AN OVERVIEW OF THE HEBREW BIBLE IN CONTEXT

πŸ“’Register now!πŸ“’

Ministry 21’s Fall class, taught by Rev. Bill Borror, dives into the Old Testament with a view to understanding not only the content, but also the historical context and interpretive possibilities our scriptures encompass. This class is open to all: those discerning a call to ministry, licensed pastors, active lay leaders, and ordained clergy who would like to refresh their relationship with the Hebrew Bible will all find it worthwhile!

Participants in the class will gather in person for 4 full Saturdays and will interact with one another and the course materials via our learning platform in the weeks between classes.

️⭐Clergy️⭐ If you have a parishioner who you sense has a call to ministry, they may find that taking a class like this one will add clarity to their discernment process. Consider encouraging them to register! Past participants have reported that these classes build a stronger sense of community, Conference connection and UCC identity in addition to the topic-specific knowledge they learn.

Classes meet at the Meriden Congregational church on September 12, October 17, November 14, and December 12 from 9-4.
